Gugan Gulwan Youth Aboriginal Corporation acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we walk, work, live and learn. We honour Elders past and present and extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who now call this region home. We recognise the strength, wisdom and care they bring to community, and the vital role they play in supporting our young people and families to grow strong, connected and thriving together.

Music Program

The Gugan Gulwan Music Program is open to young people aged 8 to 25 years. This co-located initiative operates in collaboration with the Australian National University (ANU)- My Song Project and offers both individual tutoring and centre-based learning opportunities. The program supports participants at all skill levels, from beginners through to advanced musicians, providing access to instrument tuition and skill development in a supportive environment.

Gugan Gulwan delivers culturally safe learning practices, ensuring that tutors understand the importance of listening, creativity, and learning through playing music, rather than relying solely on reading sheet music. The program recognises diverse learning styles and fosters confidence, cultural expression, and connection through music.

For more information about the Music Program, please contact the Events & Programs Coordinator at 6296 8900 or via email [email protected], Monday to Thursday.
